screaming lights

Liverpool based four-piece, Screaming Lights, signed to Anti- Records (Tom Waits, Neko Case, Bob Mould) in January, making them the first new UK band the label has ever signed. Having previously toured with the Mystery Jets and Late Of the Pier, the band play the Secret Garden Party in July.

Ulrich Schnauss / On My Own
I have it on right now, and it’s new to me, and it’s brilliant.

Talking Heads / Pull Up The Roots
It’s so danceable. I can’t really think of a reason, I just love it.

Chemical Brothers / Galvanize
It was the first track I played after midnight on New Years Eve.

Neil Young / Old Man
First song I remember hearing when I was young.

Pixies / Hey
For the lyric: ‘Huh, said the man to the lady’.

Radiohead / Everything In Its Right Place
Scary as hell. It’s the most impact a song has had on me on first listen.

Nirvana / All Apologies
Last song on their last album. I always saw it as the last thing you would hear of Kurt Cobain, which I suppose it was.

Sonic Youth / Dirty
Sexiest song ever.
