Vladislav Delay’s new album Tummaa will be released on the wonderfully eclectic Leaf Label in September. The Finnish electronic artist, otherwise known as Sasu Ripatti, creates dense, experimental music with sophisticated textural qualities.

Juan MacLean / One Day
Strong and brave dance-pop. Not usually my cup of tea, but this track is quite interesting.

The Cool Kids / Basement Party
Nice club groove, showing something new in the Hip Hop vein, which is always welcome.

Bob Dylan / Love Sick
I’ve been listening to his more recent releases and am totally taken by it. He just gets better with age. Incredible depth.

Erykah Badu / That Hump
Best bassline for ages. It’s also a great album as a whole.

Tricky / Slow
Mean version of the Kylie song. glad Tricky is getting back to shape, at least for my taste.

MGMT / Electric Feel
This was refreshing stuff. It’s a great song. Shame about terrible big-money remixes, though.

Heikki Kuula / Subutex Prinssi
He’s a young MC from Finland. I’ve been playing lots of his stuff lately.

Lady Gaga / Poker Face
Totally serving my pop side, this is a great pop song.
