It was just last summer when MilkMan set out on a dangerous quest to find his true inner self. He traveled north, into the farthest arctic tundra, subsisting off of only melted ice and lamas bread for weeks on end. Just as he was about to turn back, he happened upon a massive castle made of ice and snow. Inside the castle, Milk Man stumbled upon a pile of elaborate glistening crystals. Each individual crystal produced its own specific frequency. Milk Man brought these crystals back home. They successfully broke the mystical code and were soon arranging and composing symphonies out of these crystals; tweaked electronic versions of the original crystal operas. Their mystical collaboration, My Milky Way Arms, showcases a breathtaking blend of noise and electronica.
Van Halen / Panama
I hated Van Halen for years and this song embodied my hatred. Then one day, like a light switch, my mind clicked over to finally realize this is the most awesome band of all time! This is the ultimate party song I’m too scared to play at a party.
Berlin / Take My Breath Away
This is one I definitely make sure no one catches me listening to. This song has one of the greatest bass riffs of all time, and synth presets for that matter, and Terri Nunn’s vocals destroy me every time. Every other song off the soundtrack comes in a very close second guilty pleasure.
Tiffany / I Think We’re Alone Now
Don’t get me wrong, the original is great, but Tiffany’s cover appeals way more to me. This comes from a time when girls could be pop stars minus the choreography and autotune. If called out on this, I will deny to the grave.
Sinead O’Connor / Nothing Compares 2 U
My best friend would do this dare of sorts where he would blast this song in the car with the windows down as we would stop at a light. Whoever rolled up their window first in embarrassment would lose, but the song always got turned up instead.
Hall & Oates / You Make My Dreams
I like this song mostly because it reminds me of a cartoon I use to watch that shamelessly rips this off called Duck Tales. That’s a good excuse, right? But if this song doesn’t put you in a good mood, you are not human.
Tangerine Dream and Jon Anderson / Loved By The Sun
A great team up here with Tangerine Dream composing and Jon Anderson from Yes singing vocals. If I could write a song as good as this, I would die feeling secretly extremely accomplished. If we started broadcasting this song into outer space, I think we might finally get an answer.
Christie Front Drive / About Two Days
There are only a few indiscernible vocal phrases in this song, but it speaks volumes. With its shaky drums and one of the simplest guitar parts I’ve ever heard, this song is monumentally huge and still gives me goosebumps. Pretty much the song that made me want to start a band, but don’t tell anyone.
Vangelis / Love Theme
This is from the greatest soundtrack ever and I only consider this a guilty pleasure because there are far more amazing tracks on this soundtrack from the genius Vangelis. God forbid anyone catch you listening to this by yourself, or they might get the wrong idea.
