On Depart From Me Cage illuminates the struggles he’s faced upon entering a world that continues to be a source of loss and confusion. He’s helped along in this task with production by El-P, F. Sean (Hatebreed), the late Camu Tao and Aesop Rock.

This song reminds me of what it feels like to be on all my favorite drugs that I quit doing and the sadness that comes from failed romances that will never be again. I’m referring to the drugs, not the women.
Suede / Animal Nitrate
This song makes me feel like walking around London in pointy shoes with a switchblade in a V-neck sweater with cool hair and some hot English girl with killer eyes and jacked teeth. This is a great song to get ready to go out to or making drinks if you’re already with a lady.
Weezer / Pink Triangle
I relate to this song because I too fell in love with a lesbian and I have poor self esteem and I’m delusional.
Neil Young / Out of My Mind
This song has a creepy haunting 50s vibe to it, which goes perfectly with dressing-up like a beat and writing poetry in a book and stalking some hot brunette through the park.
My Bloody Valentine / Only Shallow
This song makes me want to smoke a ton of pot in the street with some girls in the backseat of your friend’s car, only to find out there is PCP in the joint and you’re okay with it. Great making-out song, also.
The Cure / A Forest
This is a great song following that laced joint. Just follow your eyes and you hear his voice and starting to burn and into the trees, and if you’re not on drugs, then this is just a great song.
The Appleseed Cast / Mountain Halo
My DJ Chauncey put me up on this band and I dug it out. I feel like I’m on Mushrooms with this song on. This song just makes you look cool when it’s on.
Cold Cave / Heaven Was Full
This song is like pop music for creeps and that is just terrific for me. This song makes me wear Clarks and Black pants
