Wendy Rae Fowler, We Fell To Earth

we fell to earth

We Fell To Earth’s debut album contains grains of that desert night ambiance. Richard and Wendy’s way with harmonies is almost ecclesiastical on the likes of Lights Out, but tasty electronics are never far away, notably on the pulsing, bleeping Sovereign.

David Bowie / Heroes
Dreamy. This song puts me in a good mood. I love to blast it and chase the animals around the house. They like it too. I love the desperation in his voice in the last verse. It makes me wish I was him.

Jefferson Airplane / White Rabbit
Aaah, thank God for Grace Slick.

Amon Duul II / Archangels Thunderbird
What a groove, the vocals are f**ked. Perfect!

The Stooges / Dirt
BADASS sprinkled with a little sexy in my top three favorite bass lines.

Link Wray / Rumble
Makes me feel warm inside. I love the swing, it is also the best guitar sound.

Tom Waits / Shore Leave
For a dark, hot, rainy night. This is moody, with a great chorus.

Townes Van Zandt / Waitin Round to Die
Plain and simply rips your heart out. It deeply moves me. That’s what music is supposed to do. Remember?

The Birthday Party / Junkyard
He definitely IS the king. This song is undeniably heavy in the best way possible. The groove and the drama form a perfect marriage. I don’t understand half the words, and don’t need to. He very obviously means business. Thank you, Nick Cave.
